The 33rd AAAA National Fly In was held in Echuca on the 24-26th of April 2009. Rain, low cloud and strong winds resulted in only a handful of pilots being able to fly to the event, however luckily many of our Victorian and NSW members were able to utilise thier ground ground transport to attend. Of particular note was Judy Pay's newly restored P-40F the only one airworthy in the world.

The weather, great food and a coffee machine made the Echuca Aerodrome clubhouse a popular place to be, with many old friends and new members swapping tales. The Saturday night dinner was another great success, particulary due to Greg Ellis wonderfully entertaining MC work... which also left many pilots anxiously searching for a black parasol at the airfield on sunday.

Thanks to the Echuca Aero Club for thier enthusiasm in helping to organise the event and a bigger thanks to all those who attended, by whatever means, you made it a great weekend!
