2017 AAAA Spring Fly-in & Annual General Meeting

Registration

  • To assist with planning for catering and administration for the Annual General Meeting as well as covering event costs, we are requesting members register their attendance and assist with covering events costs via a small event registration fee of $10 per person and pre-payment of this and dinner tickets to ensure all costs for the event are covered by those attending.

SPRING FLY-IN & AGM, CLARE VALLEY 13-15TH OCTOBER

The Clare Valley Flying Group have invited the AAAA to Clare Valley Aerodrome for this year's Spring Fly In and Annual General Meeting, on the weekend of the 14th and 15th of October.


Event Registration & Fee

To ensure all costs associated with the event are covered by those attending, we are introducing a $10 per person Event Registration Fee, this will go towards covering costs associated with bus hire and other facilities required for the event. Event Location: Clare Valley Aerodrome

With a 1200m main runway and a 600m long grass cross strip it is the perfect location to spend the weekend with friends. Surrounded by wineries, great food and amazing scenery we hope to also enjoy the fine weather Clare Valley has to offer. Accommodation Options (serviced via bus service):

  • Clare Country Club
  • Clare Comfort Inn
  • Clare Valley Motel
  • Clare Apartments
  • Bungaree Station
  • Clare Riesling Trail Cottages; and
  • Discovery Park - Clare (Caravan Park).

Camping at the field is permissible and the club has shower and toilet facilities we can use. As there is another event on in Clare Valley that weekend we suggest you secure accommodation as soon as possible. 


Meals:

Friday: 

There will be no meals at the field on Friday evening, visit one of the many restaurants, pubs or cafe's in Clare township.

Saturday Lunch:

Available on the field and catered by the Clare Valley Flying Group on a pay as you go basis.

Saturday Dinner:

The AGM and dinner will be at Seven Hills Hotel and tickets will be limited to 80 seats. Dinner tickets must be purchased online when you confirm using the

REGISTER button on the Spring Fly-in & AGM event page on our website: https://www.antique-aeroplane.com.au/event-2570604. Sunday Breakfast:

Available on the field and catered by the Clare Valley Flying Group on a pay as you go basis.


Ground Transport

A bus service will operate to and from the accommodation list above and will run according to the following schedule:

Friday:  16:00 & 17:00

Saturday:10:00, 16:00 & 17:00 and 18:00 for AGM/Dinner and return afterwards

Sunday: 7:30, 8:30 & 9:30

AVGAS

AVGAS will be available on the field, the Clare Valley Flying Group have 2400L of AVGAS and will be facilitating refueling. Payment will be via cash or EFTPOS (credit/debit card). AVGAS is also available via self-service bowser at Port Pirie, 25nm to the north west of Clare Valley.
