The Antiquers' third year in Corowa for the National Fly-In was a great success. Thank you to those members, their families, and our sponsors who attended. Thank you also to all those who generously volunteered your time and resources to make the event as successful as it was.
Once more, we welcomed over 120 aircraft and approximately 250 people to Corowa Airport for four days of excitement both on the field and within the nearby Corowa township. A special thank you must be extended to the Corowa Aerodrome User Group for their tireless efforts in aiding with the preparation, setup, and maintenance of the airfield in advance of our arrival.

Plenty of arrivals on Thursday, with members enjoying a relaxed dinner at the pub in town: Hotel Australia, 163 Sanger St, Corowa.
Friday's strong winds made the planned fly-away lunch a challenge, but the sheltering marquee sponsored by OzRunways and BBQ lunch put on by the Corowa Cougars Rugby Club were both much appreciated.
In the evening, the wind didn't abate, so we enacted plan B and moved the outdoor movie, sponsored by Agile Aviation, indoors into a hangar coordinated by one of our members, James Stevenson, with generators provided by Kyron Smith and the VH-BOB Mustang crew. It was pleasantly warm inside the hangar and the Cougars put on a meal once more while we enjoyed two films. Short film, The Jockstrap Raiders, had everyone laughing along. One Six Right is a stunning tribute to aviation and the airports that support it.

Better weather arrived on Saturday, resulting in plenty of local flying being enjoyed. The OzRunways tutorial, demonstrating the latest features in the popular EFB, was much appreciated by our membership. A new addition this year, Mike Pover's "Maintaining Vintage Aircraft" seminar, had the room engrossed as Mike explained how to look after our aircraft during those poor weather months, or when planning for extended non-flying periods. We returned once more to Club Corowa for our annual awards night, celebrating members and aircraft in several categories, detailed below. Additionally, the raffle was drawn, with prizes generously donated by Mustang Joy Flights, Hazair, and Temora Aviation Museum.
The good weather remained on Sunday allowing pilots great conditions for a leisurely departure, with the airfield being almost entirely vacated by lunch time.
Congratulations to the award recipients!
